Congratulation, James. My money is on 303. Pure mathematics is, in its way, the poetry of logical ideas. Albert Einstein |

OK the secret number has been picked. I congratulated Ya in the last thread and I got the last post in the 113 thread, So I'm looking for 499. :D Now if that Icelandic Volcano would just go back to sleep again for another 200 years or so. :D The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

Thanks VW. Does anyone know how far that ash cloud posses a danger? So far mainly Northern to Mid Europe, I saw on the News that flights around the Med are still there, With the occasional piston powered aircraft north of a certain point, But that's It, Jets and Turbo Props don't like this stuff, As It melts when exposed to high temp inside those engines, Piston powered aircraft engines I'd think have air filters as they usually fly at lower and bumpier altitudes. Jets don't have filtered air inlets as they suck in a lot of air, mix It with jet fuel, then compress It and then ignite the mixture to make thrust, lots of It, Is It possible to design a Jet engine or a turbo-prop to have air filters? I don't know, As I'm not into that area, I just know what I've read and the internet has a lot of It. :D Yer welcome. The Coandă-1910, first jet-propelled aircraft ever built. VW I dont think it would be feasible to put filters on a jet engine. Would restrict air flow to much. And a piston aircraft though a fly thru might be all right I would think even the air filters would clog up after a while in ash. [/quote] Old James |

President Obama had better postpone His trip to Poland then, As He'd have fly to Italy and then take a train to Poland, All the while risking getting stuck in Europe for a bit and having Biden take over until He got back, As Biden isn't just the VP and the President of the US Senate. I wonder if there is any link to the earth quakes that have been going on? Volcanoes do produce them, But only Google knows for sure where their noted at. :D The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |
