wohoo! and way to go :) And you just reminded me that tomorrow (the 24th) will be my 4 year mark. Signed up and put seti on the first computer I owned within a week of purchasing it. Not really sure why but glad I did :)

Might have to do something fun to celebrate the occasion. Might have to get wild in the IRC channel!

Congrats :o)

I also just passed my 5 years mark (~3 weeks ago).

More than 5 years of heating my home with computers processing scientific data :D
(probably also 5 years of being persistent "customer of the month" at the local Electrical Power company *g* )

Congratulation to all of us then! I’ve been into Seti crunching for more the 5, 5 years as well. When I first moved to Asia, 3.5 years ago, I had some time off from all crunching; I guess a year or so, but since then all my boxes been crunching WU 24/7.

Now 5.5 years later I still remember when I first read about Seti and thought, what can I do to help on this and the answer was simple – allocate as many boxes as possible and install Seti. :-D

Happy crunching!

Happy crunching

Welcome to the 5 Year Club! Actually, its pretty cool that your Seti Classic account snapshot was on the day you did your 20,000th (exactly) classic WU.

Congratz

Although SETI shows my date as Apr 5, 1999, my actual date is Apr 8, 1999. Beta tester on both. Subscriber to The Planetary Report.

I wonder how many of us 5yrer's are still crunching?.
I like all the other projects Bonic has offered but I
start crunching for other projects and then feel guilty
for ignoring SETI. So I stay with this one.

Habit, Loyalty, Science, or do I really want to know if
they are "Out There"

Engage!

I am still crunching with two of the four original PC's I used when I joined Seti in 1999 (200mhz and 450mhz Pentiums). :) Fortunately, I have been able to add a few extra since then..

Still Crunching though.

Probably a lot of us around. I also started with SETI classic in June of 1999 - and have been steadily (but slowly) crunching ever since, most of the time on a single old iMac. I still crunch SETI classic on that one, and do the Boinc SETI and CPDN on my work PowerBook.

We started on 5-17-1999. We remember then it was going to be a 2year project and maybe extended to 3 years. But we're still here.
