How would you by chance get a Ubuntu Bionc?

are you asking how to install boinc on Ubuntu? get the appropriate version from the download link from the home page and you can follow the instructions on the the BOINC wiki

Use Synaptic package manager. Look up BOINC and install it. It's that easy.

I d/loaded the file then placed it in home folder - opened terminal and used cd to go to folder then entered ./ before the programme name and it began to run, did same for the boincmgr and it opened and im back on track - all was in ubuntu

I was a member years ago and last active in 2006 , I recently started back using linux and a different computer, I was looking at my stats on combined BOINC stats and noticed it was showing me the old computer, I found the new one on here and entered the ID number I was given and was given stats for someone else. Number is defo right one Iv doubled double checked and it's given me same id as someone called nick k
