Was using the machine when this task seemed to cause my Nvidia driver to stop responding. Both monitors froze, turned black, then returned to functionality and Windows told me it had to recover.

Event log told me:

"Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered."

Just figured I would report it in case it wasn't my system that caused it. Subsequent CUDA task after that one was successful and it's still humming along now. Been running CUDA MB tasks smoothly for a week or more now - both when I am using the system and when it is idle.

Jack are you using the screensaver?

consider backing off to the 190.XX or 191.XX drivers they seem to improve performance for SETI

Not using SS. Will consider rolling back to an older driver. Thanks skildude.

nevermind lol answered my own question! goto www.filehippo.com and search for "NVIDIA Graphics Drivers" you'll be able to download the most recent as well as previous versions of the drivers.

Or you can go to the nvidia.com, click on download drivers "beta and archived"
