Good morning folks. A light dusting of snow this morning, nothing like the 1-3 inches they predicted. Caused some problems up on I80 over the Donner Summit. Hope the weather is nice next Friday when we have to go over to Sacramento for my daughter's doctor appointment.

My mum shipped my bike over from the UK for me and I'm trying to get it fixed so I can take it back to Vancouver with me. While it was waiting in my hallway back in the UK someone did something strange to valve on the front tire so I need to replace the whole inner tube...

I know, I tripped over the damn thing! Surprised you had any wheels left.....

It was probably you that broke the damn valve!!!

I didn't manage to find an inner tube that fitted so I had to bring it all the way back on the bus with flat tire.

It means I've got to get the kids up send them to school?

..and today, having a discussion with my eldest about his science options. I think he should take physics as there is less to remember so it's much easier than biology and chemistry.

I remember when I went to our Grammar and had that sort of choice. My parents wanted me to take Latin, which I hated having done it since I was 9. I chose Chemistry and Physics instead.

Much more interesting.

The last of my days off are here. 12 hours from now I'll be at work. 3 12 hour days in a row. Ugh. LOL Money is nice though. LOL Weather is supposed to somewhat warm up. Today we got up in the 50's, tomorrow and Thursday are supposed to be in the 60's. Maybe its a sign for warm weather to finally arrive!

My brothers daughter is just finishing a BSc in Biology at Southampton Uni. She has just had an offer from Imperial in London to do an MRes for a year, that's really great as it's one of the best research uni's on the globe ! MRes is a research based Masters degree, she's will be doing Biomedical Research - Microbial Pathogenesis. First she has to get a 2:1 or better to qualify.

I've seen some of her work, ye gods! stick to physics!!

Yeah, tell me about it, we're usually up into the 70's by now. Its ok, it'll probably mean a hot summer is on its way. So then I won't be complaining about cold, but the heat. LOL
