Good head of hair there my batty friend. I just got mine cut and sent it to Locks of Love

I don't remember your hair ever being so long!

It has got long since I've become too poor to afford a haircut. :}

I thought bats has fine fuzzy hair all over. This means they don't need to afford a body wax and strip.

I cannot afford a haircut, and regularly sit on my sideboards.

Who needs a chair or a pension when you have your sideboards to support you?

I'm way too furry to have a body wax ,it would be excruciating.

And I have a pair of nice vases on my sideboards.

Good afternoon everyone, finally off work, been a long, long week. Hopefully my weekend is nice. Weather is supposed to be beautiful, finally. May take my son out to shoot his new gun so he can start practicing for hunting season. Got until October to get him ready, so lots of time to get plenty of practice in. The rifle I bought him is a Rossi, 3 separate barrels, a 22, a 243, and a 20 gauge shotgun. All of them are single shot, but what better the learn from? He first needs to get used to the kick, then we worry about sighting it in and hitting the target.

The only rifle I ever fired was a Mauser modelo Argentino 1891, but I had removed the bullets and gunpowder from the 7.65 mm cartridges. This to fire the percussion caps so all 'explosives' were spent before I brought it back to England from Arizona, complete with cartridges minus explosives.

I prefer Glocks myself; I had a 9mm Glock 17. Never hunted anything but the socks in my drawer with the right day on them.

This is my gun. there are many like it, but this one's mines. My weapon is my best friend. It is my life. I must master my weapon as I must master my life. Without me, my weapon is useless, without my weapon, I am useless. I must fire my weapons true. I must shoot straighter then my enemy who is trying to kill me, I must shoot him before he shoots me. I will. Before God I swear this creed: My weapon and myself are the defenders of my country, we are the masters of our enemy, we are the saviors of my life. So be it, until there is no enemy, but peace. Amen

I don't like guns, but being the mother of two boys I have to visit army surplus stores and listen to them talk endlessly to the staff of the merits of various weapons.

I don't blame ya Esme. My wife really doesn't care for guns either, but if she has to use one, she will. And boys are usually always interested in guns. LOL Best bit of advise is if they are really serious looking into guns, put them into a safety class of some sort. Weather just a gun safety, or a hunter safety course. My son's class was awesome, I even learned more about hunting than I already knew. And different safety things that easily get over-looked.

Hiyah young man! We have disagreed in the past about hunting, and probably always will do, but it is good to see you offering sensible safety advice re guns.

I fervently hope that Es's kids don't get into the hunting/gun thing, but living where they are that is a natural risk.

Oh, heck, this isn't the wild west. It's Vancouver. Greenpeace started on the west coast.

I've lived here for 8 years, met people from all walks of life from the filthy rich to destitute poor, famous and imfamous, and have yet to meet anyone who hunts. (Well, lots of people who fish, but not hunting with guns.)

I am sure that there are a few around, but it certainly isn't a part of the urban culture that Es's kids are exposed to.

Pure mathematics is, in its way, the poetry of logical ideas.

Part of being over the pond Es. You have to weigh that up with how life was in the UK. Plusses and minuses. More + than - I reckon. Just ignore Cannuck rednecks being what they are.

What? I haven't met any 'Canuck rednecks'. My boys have always been into guns. I don't think it even had anything to do with all the shootings around our neighbourhood in the UK, but a lot to do with video games and movies.

I think you have a very strange view of Canada!!! :D

LOL Chris. Anytime anyone wants to get interested into firearms, weather for sporting or hunting, I always tell them to take some sort of firearm safety class. Its just the right thing to do, you need to know what your getting into.

As far as the disagreeing, we are all from different walks of life my friend. LOL I was brought up around hunting, fishing, and recreational shooting. So its my walk of life. :-)
