result I.D 1529292804, Work Unit I.D 577868672 ,Host I.D 5276513 claimed credit 10,357,096,830,331,100,099,248,128.00
these are the details of a work unit that i had saved on my computer but when I checked today on site it has disappeared from my pending results and is not listed anywhere else as Valid etc?What has happened to it especially if the credits were genuine L.O.L..Any ideas and answers appreciated will check back later Thanks

You didn't really expect a result that claims 10,357,096,830,331,100,099,248,128.00 to validate, did you?

Probably a third task has been sent out and on reaching the quorum, the (correct) result was stored in the science database and the work unit deleted, as usual.

Hi,no I didn`t expect it to validate as if you had read i put a L.O.L comment in my question though 10x23 credits would been out of this world,maybe ET had a hand in it? But further I can`t find the result anywhere as error, validated or any other form even to finding if wing man had reported,the W.U.s missing from results pages,so any further help would be appreciated,if not possible just have to write it off as lost result .PS Thanks for reply

As I already stated, it's probably already been validated and purged from the database. How often did you check for the result? I believe that validated results aren't kept longer than 24 hours.

It is a little more complicated than that.

Once a WU has been validated and all results are back or have timed out, one of the results is selected as the canonical result, and moved to the master science database. All of the results are deleted from the user database. All we can pull from on our account page is the user database.

I had been checking everyday for last week "on hols at mo" and result was showing waiting validation by wingman who had till 5th April to report,also I have still got validated results showin as far back as January on my results page!It is possibly been validated and then purged but I`ve not seen it before so quickly done ,really only wanted to know what its true credit should have been rather than the 10x23 value,not a big problem will keep plugging away,may find E.T yet. Indeed, it is possible it was validated and purged. You would have gotten the lower of the two. There is also a bug where some clients report a 0 credit request (typically Windows 95/98/me clients), so it was possible that your wingman requested 0 credits and the two of you would have gotten none.
