help! I can't get any new WUs. When I go to ADVANCED and push "do network ....." nothing happens. This all started when the servers went down a few days ago. I don't know much about computers so any help would be greatly appreated. Bt the way I am using version6. 10. 18 if this helps. Many thanks in advance.

I believe that everyone is having trouble getting work.

You could add another project to your BOINC client to keep the CPUs warm, or you could just wait it out.

Angela,
Work is starting to flow again now. Let it sit overnight and see if it picks some up. If not, try stopping boinc, start it again and post the first 20 or so messages from the messages tab. That will give us an idea what is going on.

Thanks everyone. I have tried to shut down the computer. When I restart I either get "can't resolve host name" or "project has no jobs avalible" I also get "internet access OK -progect servers may be temporarly down" After that I push "do network communication" and nothing happens. Is there a way that I can set it up to ask for work more often? Everything worked ok until about 3 days ago. Ihave made no changes. As anyone can tell I am not that good with computers but I am willing to learn. Thanks again, Ang

you could increase you cache by a day or 2 and see if BOINC connects and downloads more work

Angela, that would be
Maintain enough work for an additional ___ days
in your Computing preferences, in case you did wonder. :-)

Gruß,

[edit]And copying the Messages here from your recent restart would still be helpful.[/edit]
