Do you wonder "Why 'they' do not deal with 'our' problems NOW!"

It is good idea to check first what is the
Current local time in Berkeley:

Weekly Outage
Every Tuesday morning (Pacific time) we have a 3-4 hour outage for database maintenance. The upload/download servers and some web pages are offline during this time. 17 Mar 2010 22:52:34 UTC

The link for (Pacific time) http://utc.php/ is broken and have to be corrected.

The link for Pacific time http://utc.php/ on the Weekly Outage message at home page is still broken and have to be corrected.

It has to be (?):
UTC: Coordinated Universal Time
http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/utc.php/

Probably only a leading dot got lost, making an absolute reference out of a relative one (./utc.php). But of course that has to be corrected too ;-)

Two more options for international time:

1) Set additional Windows clocks (click on clock to set/change the settings)

You will see the clocks by hovering the mouse pointer over the Windows clock:

... or by clicking the clock:

2) Get FoxClocks Add-on for Mozilla Firefox
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1117

Set the clocks you want - they will show by hovering the mouse pointer
over the FoxClocks icon in the lower-left corner of the Firefox window:

Quite funny:
The USSR does not exist any more, and that is for the last 20 years!!
Should be corrected/updated some of these days.

Why is this thread sticky, old and irrelevant as it is?

Why "old and irrelevant"?

It is meant to remind to those (beginners, "Getting started") which live in other timezones (e.g. Europe, Australia, ...)
(when they want immediate attention from people at SETI lab for some new problem)
to check that it is maybe night at Berkeley.

Link for "Current local time in Berkeley" works
as well hints at "more options for international time" are still usable.

It is working; but why do you ask in this thread? You totally missed the topic.

Yes, but the topic of this thread is "Time in Berkeley".

You should have started a new thread or have looked for a thread with an appropriate topic.

Never mind about that link:-) What about the server status page being a wee bit wonky?
Like right now it says now is wrong... but my bionc setup has been trying to upload completed units from last night until now.. Result? retry after retry and then a defer for up to 4 hours at a time..

Downloads seem to be ok tho..

That said my logs show internet OK, endless server must be down messages etc.

Cheers

From http://boincstats.com/en/page/faq#12

Why do I lose credit in BOINC combined stats?
When you attach to a new project, or reattach to a projects that restarts after a 'break' your CPID (cross project identifier) for a project can change. It takes a while for all projects to line up again. During this time, you may lose some credit in the combined stats, and sometime all credit will go to a new account with a new CPID.

It's not a thing Seti does, instead it's something that happens on BOINCstats.
