Hi all.

I BOINC yesterday and all seemed well. But this morning it had run out of work due to transfer problem :'(

I have looked at the server status page and servers seems to be running. I have also looked at the firewall with no success.

I get these messages:

Anyone have a solution to this problem (other patience)?

It's a server-end problem. Nothing we can do at our end. Just have to wait it out.

Hi,
Can see older threads regarding the same issue.
Que of items to transfer but upload is not taking place.
Looks like the server is not responding.

Is this a common problem or a bug someone is working on?
Have been like this for several days...

Am I the only one with this problem?

Perhaps you're the only one who sees it as a problem that the guys at Seti will have to give up their free weekend to come fix something that can easily wait, especially so since it's 3.45am, where they are.

It is a server side issue. The will be working at fixing it in the morning (California time, about 9?30 a.m.)

Hi Hasse. I was wondering the same thing. I just installed the application on my new computer and was unable to connect. It did eventually allow me to download some work, but I have not been able to upload yet. From what I've read in the forums, I'm sure it is a temporary issue and the servers will be up soon. In the meantime, I attached to some other projects so my machine could have something to work on. Einstein@home and Milkyway@home both seemed very interesting to me.

I run both Seti and Rosetta, and for several days my completed Seti packets won't upload - but the Rosetta packs continue to send/receive just fine.

Are the servers down?

Hi, no the servers aren't down, the 'same problem as last week', struck again, apparently.

When you look at these graphs , you see little traffic in.

I can't upload, a few hunfred WU's, too, ocasionally, a download, but nothing much.
Hope, this time, they'll find the reason's for this odd behavior,
of their servers. Something is wrong/broke, maybe SETI has too many host's, hooked up. About a million, but could be wrong

Yep, were all in the same boat, here, it won't sink, it's 18:30 (GMT+1), when maybe someone, can get to the Lab, otherwise, we just have to wait till after tomorrow's outage :) (23-24hour local/GMT+1)
Boy, the world isn't gonna end . . .;^)

That's one good reason, for adding a back-up project, it's even advised, to do so, because no prolect, can or will garantee a 100% uptime, of their server's.

Last weeks post's are almost all, about this annoying problem, but I'm certain, they will eliminate bottleneck's and find the real problem, I surely hope.

Well I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one with this problem. I have 5 seti@home ready to transfer to the work side and it doesn't do any good to force it to do it cause all it does is reset the timer when it suspose to try an transfer to a longer time.

I have the similar problem with the upload, I have 26 tasks at 100.000% with a status of "Uploading", and I see similar messages in the "messages".

Unfortunately I seem to have another problem and I can't tell if it's related to the upload problem -- I have nothing happening locally. I have 17 tasks that could be running, but nothing is happening. Usually I have 3 tasks going, each on it's own core, but since Saturday time change, nothing much is happening. I have one task that currently says 95.661 complete with a status of "Waiting to run (0.07 CPUs, 1 CUDA)", and the rest are all 0.000% with status "Ready to start". The project is not suspended and the project status is blank.

Could you create a cc_config.xml file in your BOINC DATA directory (C:\ProgramData\BOINC) in your case (note the hidden directory in the path). Instructions are on the client configuration page at the main BOINC site. Could you turn on: <task>, <file_xfer>, <sched_ops>, <cpu_sched>, and <cpu_sched_debug>?

Note, please make certain that you use a text editor (such as notepad, NOT word or word pad) and it does not decorate the name (notepad likes to add ".txt" to the end of the file name unless you specifically select all files instead of text files when saving.
