Vacation - Urlaub
With pedal, to the floor --
on autobahn, I soar.
Kein blau-licht, hinter mir.
On Urlaub -- kindern cheer!
With worries, left behind,
to Mozart's music, find.
In Salzburg's alte stadt,
the sweet air, keenly-sought.
Die kuchen schmecht, sehr gut --
with hard-won Euros, bought.
Die kindern were sehr-stuffed.
Bei mir, der Wein, enough.
From down the narrow street --
die enge strasse, sweet --
eine schöne melodie,
from Mozart, and, for free.
Aus nearby kirche, born,
like clothing, to be worn.
Surrounding us when there,
we bore to northern air --
Vacation clothes,
for rest of year.
