Everybody can shine

Don't let the others
tell you what you must do.
Be yourself.
Enjoy every day,
each morning breeze,
caressing your face
and greeting you as a friend.
The sun that warms your body
from the in and outside.
You will smile
and others will smile back.
Turn sadness and anger
into joy, self-confidence,
health and happiness.
Everyone can shine,
like a bright star,
high in the sky.

Amendment to "Buckets of Blood -- Take Two":

Insert the words, "i heard" after "imagining".

Apologies for the late amendment, but have beat my
head against the wall, on this; fortunately, I have
a friend, here, who, also, writes (and, has published)
poetry -- he, nudged me into strengthening the ending,
and so . . .

Banishment

To banish, or, not to banish --
that is the question.
Whether to suffer the rhythm and rhyme
of perceived lesser poets,
or, to banish them off to
poets' hell. . .

Should we form into hardened camps,
and shout at one another --
or worse?

Or, welcome all,
into land of verse.

And, yet, better for the world,
if the only topic of
contention was
poetry.

Endless Life

I don't regret
to have lived by your side.
Made my choices,
lived my life.
O, how I remember your face,
the beauty, its grace.

Days long ago
seemed so bright.
You were my suicide.

Love

Love is like heaven in your heart.
Without Love, there's nothing...

Love is like a new start.
You want to scream and sing.

When your day is sad, like the rain,
think of Love and it will set you free.

Remember, things can also go wrong.
But also know, Love will always survive...

"One From Another"

i don't know you
but i know you
i know that you are here
or there
or somewhere
i can feel your presence
sense your reality
every part of you that i can't touch
sits on the other side of a screen
a screen that i am aware of
a screen that i can never reach beyond
so it will have to be enough
to sense you where you are
wherever it is you are
even though i can't cross the invisible boundary
the one that separates us
one from another

Freedom

Imagine that feeling,
when you close your eyes.
You're the eagle who flies
to a place called paradise.

Feel the wind in your face
and the space all around.
Feel the joy of your freedom.
Nothing left duty bound.

Sweet sound of Nature,
full of power and peace,
played by mountains and waters,
sang by flowers and trees.

You try to hold on to that feeling,
become one with the bird.
When you remember your freedom,
there's nothing left to concern.

No name

Equality is what I stand for.
Justice is what I seek.
Discrimination is the root of evil.
What does not exist
is strong and weak.
The only strength in this world
is the one we cannot find.

Eyes

Just one look
and he's got nothing to say.
A thousand things cross his mind
but still he feel the silent calmness
that she brings,
when her eyes are speaking for her.
One moment feels like a while,
when their looks meet
with a silent smile.
Her eyes make him stare
and her words make him dare.
Everything has it's effect,
so he just smiles
and she lasts...

Count

Count the blessings
that you had
and you will feel no fear.

Count the whispers
of the wind,
the voices that you hear.

Count the chances
you have had,
don't let them all pass by.

Count the cards
of all your friends
and know that you
will be allright!

HURRICANE

It didn't behave
like anything you had
ever imagined. The wind
tore at the trees, the rain
fell for days slant and hard.
The back of the hand
to everything. I watched
the trees bow and their leaves fall
and crawl back into the earth.
As though, that was that.
This was one hurricane
I lived through, the other one
was of a different sort and
lasted longer. Then
I felt my own leaves giving up and
falling. The back of the hand to
everything. But listen now to what happened
to the actual trees;
toward the end of that summer they
pushed new leaves from their stubbed limbs.
It was the wrong season, yes,
but they couldn't stop. They
looked like telephone poles and didn't
care. And after the leaves came
blossoms. For some things
there are no wrong seasons.
Which is what I dream of for me.

Your name

I wanted to write your name
in the sand, but the water
washed it away.

I wanted to write your name
on a paper, but somebody
threw it away.

I wanted to write your name
in a tree, but somebody
cut it.

I wanted to scream your name
but the wind
blew it away.

So I decided to put your name
into my heart,
so I can always cherish you.

Porcelain Doll

Her pale skin
and colored lips.
Bittersweet porcelain doll.
Where are your shimmering
eyes glaring at?

A skin so cold it can't feel
the warmth of love.
Dear porcelain doll,
so fragile.
Will your skin crack
under a gentle meant touch?

A heart like a clock.
It's ticking
but isn't alive.
Lifeless porcelain doll,
how long has it been
since your heart drifted off?

Sadly, only there to witness,
insignificant porcelain doll.
Are you so fearful
to hide behind your bitterness?

Empty, without any sense or feeling,
beloved porcelain doll.
She's the one that
makes you feel alive.

Not Today

So many questions
left unanswered.
So many words
left unspoken.
Can someone live with
the knowledge of being broken.
Broken in every way, trust,
compassion is lost every day.

Life seems awkward, surreal.
Someone tell me what's the deal,
Am I being afraid of the things I had,
or is it different, am I glad?
Is it over, was it there?
I there trust or was it all a lie?
A lie for life, a lie we live
with or is it what I really am?

I cannot seem to hold on,
cannot hold on to the thought
of being alone.
Must have a reason...
Maybe, just maybe...
Not today.

Curly Girl

Curly Girl, where are you?
I see you when I sleep.
Lovely Girl, I miss you.
I think of you and weep.

You were not ready for goodbye,
so now you follow me around.
Every time, you make me cry.
Please, put my feet back on the ground.

I like when I see you every night,
when you come to me,
but believe me, it's not right,
so let me live reality.

I say goodbye, take good care.
I'll manage on my own.
In my heart you're always there
and I never feel alone.

Jar of smiles and a secret box

In my secret box
I've got a jar of smiles.
I stack them up
as I live my miles.

In my thoughts there is a song
and as I sing it silently,
nothing goes wrong
and I laugh quietly.

In my head I've got
my own secret box
and as I walk my miles,
I discover I'm one big paradox.

Today

Today I'm flying low and I'm
not saying a word.
I'm letting all the vodoos of ambition sleep.

The world goes on as it must,
the bees in the garden rumbling a little,
the fish leaping, the gnats getting eaten.
And so forth.

But I'm taking the day off.
Quiet as a feather.
I hardly move though really I'm traveling
a terrific distance.

Stillness. One of the doors
into the temple.

Reincarnation

In light and timeless,
we choose our own identity.
Integrated in all its cells
and in full emotion can tell.

Move in energy, knowledge
and skills of a genius.
Holographic visible,
communicative understandable.

Full with solutions
that everyone will tolerate.
Heavenly spheres recognized
and known by experience.

"Three Hundred Years"

three hundred years from now
i'll come back home
for one last time
to see if what was built to last
has lasted
i'll look at where we walked
my long gone friends and i
i'll think of those old days
three centuries long gone by
i wonder what they'd think
if they could see me then
three hundred years from now
when i come here again.

Can delight

As a candle burning
in the night,
they're longing the night
to illuminate romance
on the faces to fade
hard lines in a shade
of her passion.

The Eternal Flame.

Timeless is her name,
Romance...
