Mirror mirror

'Cause children are the future of this world,
wish each and everyone of them the gift of love,
Show them how to see right from wrong,
teach them to believe and make them strong.
Be someone who can understand
and reach them out a helping hand.

There's so much to learn, so little time,
there are so many mountains, hard to climb,
till somebody says they can, you'll see.
I believe in them and what they'll achieve.
This is for all the kids out there,
and to my family, who care.

If every child could get the chance
to gaze into a looking glass
and see the hope there, shining bright,
they'd never lose the wonder in their eyes.

Mirror mirror,
when I look at you,
I know I can see
all the love surrounding me.
Mirror mirror
in my eyes I see
just how good life can be
if there is love to set you free.

You can count on me

If you ever find yourself stuck in the middle of the sea,
I'll sail the world to find you.
If you ever find yourself lost in the dark and you can't see,
I'll be the light to guide you.

Find out what we're made of,
what we are called to help our friends in need.

You can count on me like 123,
I'll be there.
And I know when I need it, I can count on you like 321,
you'll be there.
'Cause that is what friends are supposed to do.

If you're tossin' and turnin' and you just can't fall asleep,
I'll sing a song beside you.
And if you ever forget how much you really mean to me,
everyday I'll remind you.

You can count on me...

The City

Lights, twirling around
the perfect dancer.
Bells of churches.
Beats of the drum.
Beats of the heart.
Splashing on the dock.
Wind howling...
Two cars, racing with pride,
Skidding, twirling, crashing.

The city is music
I've played before.
Oh you, great halls.
Oh you, enlighting doors.
Let me dance again.
Let me in...

I can hear the humming,
standing on the roof top.
I'm coming...

Dream sequence #6

Morning dew, the pale light of dawn.
An early bird announcing a beautiful day.
This is how it all started,
peaceful...
A breeze of love coming my way,
and the day became brighter.
The sun is shining down on me
while I'm wishing this moment
would last forever...
No more worries to survive.
Then a cloud passed by
but it seemed to dissapear.
And by the time the sky was clear,
I realized sunset was near.
All the flowers were folding their leaves.
On this day in my life,
I need no place to hide...

The Season for Asters

On purple, then white,
a bee alights.
She casts her shape --
a perfect form.

On imploring petals,
her touch is light.
The gold she takes --
fulfills their goal.

An exquisite scene,
for no other purpose.
And yet, a joy is found --
perception of the wordly.

The bee will give her last --
her memory will remain.

"All Them"

all them wanna be lords and ladies
drive all the peasants home to crazy
everyday
everyday
wear a funny hat your way
tip your hat to yesterday
sing a song
sing a song

and the place you are
is the place you are
but you won't always be
when the move along time comes
you will dance along with destiny

all them wanna be rich and famous
sending the rest to see Uranus
everyday
everyday
talk to fishies in the sea
grab your raft and chat for fee
sing along
sing along

and the place you are
is the place you are
but you won't always be
when the move along time comes
you will dance along with destiny

it don't have to make no sense
where you came is where you went
time to hit the road again
you'll see
you'll see

and the place you are
is the place you are
but you won't always be
when the move along time comes
you will dance along with destiny

In Flanders Fields

In Flanders Fields, the poppies blow.
Between the crosses, row on row.
That marks our place; and in the sky
the larks are bravely singing, fly.
Scarcely heared amid the guns below.

We were the dead, short while ago.
We lived, fell down, saw sunset glow.
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
in Flanders Fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe;
to you, from failing hands we throw
the torch; be yours to hold it high
if you break faith with us who die.
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
in Flanders Fields.

Green fields

Once there were green fields, kissed by the sun.
Once there were valleys, where rivers used to run.
Once there were blue skies, with white clouds, high above.
Once they were part of an everlasting love.
We were the lovers who strolled through green fields.

Green fields are gone now, parched by the sun.
Gone from the valleys, where rivers used to run.
Gone with the cold wind, that swept into my heart.
Gone with the lovers, who let their dreams depart.
Where are the green fields, that we used to roam?

I'll never know what made you run away.
How can I keep searching when dark clouds hide the day?
I only know there's nothing here for me.
Nothing in this wide world left for me to see.

Still I'll keep walking until you return.
I'll keep on waiting until the day you learn.
You can't be happy while your heart is on the roam.
You can't be happy until you go back home.
Home, to the green fields, and me, once again.

These are the words of a song I used to play from a Jukebox in Misurina, Dolomiti, around 1959/60. I still remember the music.

Is there a heaven?

I look to the stars.
I look to the moon.
I want to go away for a while,
and I want it soon.

Looking up to the sky,
thinking of a place to hide.
Is there a place above?
The place that I dream about in the night?

Is there a heaven?
Is it there, in the sky?
Still, I don't get an answer,
oh please, tell me why?

Innocent people

In every war,
innocent people die.
How did we let it come this far?

Where is the love,
the humanity?
The world has had enough.

I think we have forgotten
how it once was,
and that makes me sad.

Sad to see the world in this state.
Dreams being given up
because people lost their faith.

Innocent people die.
Innocent people get hurt.
And all I'm asking is why?

I will trust You, Lord

I will trust You, Lord
when I want to shout it out.

I will trust You, Lord
when I want to cry out loud.

I will trust You, Lord
when I want to run away.

I will trust You, Lord
when I don't want to stay.

I will trust You, Lord
when I feel alone.

I will trust You, Lord
when I am on my own.

I will trust You, Lord,
there where a little
girl cries in me.

I will trust You, Lord
when that little girl
wants to go out free.

I will trust You, Lord,
there where You are
inside of me.

Dancing in the dark

Dancing in the dark,
while the world is dying.
The sky is crashing down,
still we keep on dancing.

People drown
in the tears of the clouds.
The sea becomes dry
by the flames of the sun.

When the sun dissapears
and the tears of the clouds
drown the world completely,
we'll keep on dancing.

Because we don't
bother anymore.
And even in death,
we'll keep on dancing.
