I'd call it post-apocalyptic...

And what happened to your avatar?

Maybe we do have something to panic about. I went to change the avatar and the "upload image" doesn't seem to work. Selecting an image to upload then hitting the update button loads up edit_forum_preferences_action.php but it just dies there with a pretty white screen. In the process the existing avatar is removed and "no avatar" is selected when you go back into preferences. The Gravatar option seems to work ok.

Cricket Graph is taking a dive and both rigs are having a problem reporting tasks.

28/02/2010 13:14:55 Project communication failed: attempting access to reference site
28/02/2010 13:14:57 Internet access OK - project servers may be temporarily down.
28/02/2010 13:14:58 SETI@home Scheduler request failed: Server returned nothing (no headers, no data)

Hope this is not a bad Omen.

I suspect the cricket graph has gone down because the last of the current data tapes has finished splitting for Astropulse: the Astropulse queue is empty, and there'll be nothing to download - except the occasional resend - until new tapes are put online.

Meanwhile multibeam work continues to flow in and out on demand.

I can feel it in my injured knee, that the whole project will come to a halt within hours :-)

That's done the trick - back up to 56.86 Mbits/sec! ;-)

Well, one can't be right all the time :-)

Darn, and I just upped my cache to 9 days in anticipation of a possible outage. I won't have to worry about getting new work for a while.

By the way, nine days work really means three days CUDA work on my comp. Not sure why but I think it has something to do with using reschedule.

Probably has more to do with the Duration Correction Factor (DCF) which will be governed more by the cpu than the gpu.

edit] As there is only one DCF/BOINC project it is another thing that needs attention in BOINC so that there are separate DCF's/application.

So that's what the 56.86 spike was! Back below 40 now, you can start panicking again....

With three GPU's in my computer, the logical thing would be to base the DCF on the GPU's since they do the majority of the work. I really don't know much about it.. Just as long as it works correctly I'm happy, but it apparently doesn't.
