I am very new to Linux but not to SETI. I downloaded and installed BOINC-4.13_i686-pc-linux-gnu, which installed fine. Then, work was downloaded, but did not start processing work unit. On my Windows PC, a work unit is processing pefectly, but the Linux machine just appears as "ready to run." When I try to start from the command line, I receive a message that another instance of BOINC is already running. Monitoring the processor use, it does not appear that a work unit is being processed. Could someone please help me figure out how to get the downloaded work unit to start processing? I want BOINC to be running all the time the box is on, as I never shut it down, except a rare occasion when I reboot.

Thanks,
zenarcher
