you can find the reason for your error message "process got signal 11" Here

It looks like you might have bad RAM

I'm not sure what else to do since this is the first you've seen the error. IF you find the error and its not covered by what is described in the BOINC FAQ, I'd give the BOINC FAQ guys a heads up since you'd have seen something that isn't currently described for the error

I appreciate the help. I will keep looking for an answer, it just seems to be with Astropulse. Standard Seti and Enhanced Seti are fine although I did get an inconclusive result as well.

Any other help would be appreciated.

In advance thanks to all, and another thanks to those that participate.

BOINC FAQ suggests the Memory problem because intense calculations can cause this problem. Astropulse WU's are much larger than the Multibeam. It appears to be a hardware problem but its hard telling what it is if its not the RAM.

1) Update to a later boinc version.
2) You seem to be running the stock application. It had (still has?) those kind of problems. Come to http://lunatics.kwsn.net to get the optimised application.

I'm experiencing the same problem:

Dell XPS M1530
2.5Ghz Core 2 Duo, 6MB cache
4GB RAM
nVidia 8600GT

Gentoo Linux: kernel 2.6.31
BOINC 6.10.18
nVidia drivers 190.42
CUDA 2.2

All Astropulse operations fail. I ended up with disabling :(
Plus I'm not sure if CUDA is working. When both CPU and GPU are at full power may laptop is extremely hot, but now i's just warm :/

if you are running seti on a laptop you'll need additional cooling devices. Laptops overheat on their own. Seti will stress them a great deal more.

You have your computers hidden so I can't tell why or what Cuda is doing with your machine

BOINC version:
6.10.18

CPU:
GenuineIntel
Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T9300 @ 2.50GHz [Family 6 Model 23 Stepping 6]
(2 processors)

GPU:
---

Operating System:
Linux
2.6.31-gentoo-r6

So I guess the answer is NO :P CUDA isn't working.

Oh... and the heat is not a problem... even when I play games in hi-res hi-quality 3D the laptop is "very warm", can't even call it hot. Right now with the CPU running alone, the difference in heat is barely sensible.

be assured the Seti app will stress your Laptop a great deal more than a video game. Seti runs your CPU at 100% and will create a great deal of heat
