Hey People, I have 2 x Nvidia GT 240 GPU's installed in my PC along side a Nvidia 7900 GS which I use for my monitor the GT 204's are purely for SETI Crunching! My problem is that one of the GT 240's is recognised by Boinc and is hapily crunching away but the other is not recognised, please see below. 20/01/2010 18:22:39 Starting BOINC client version 6.10.18 for windows_x86_64 20/01/2010 18:22:39 Config: report completed tasks immediately 20/01/2010 18:22:39 Config: use all coprocessors 20/01/2010 18:22:39 log flags: file_xfer, sched_ops, task, coproc_debug 20/01/2010 18:22:39 Libraries: libcurl/7.19.4 OpenSSL/0.9.8l zlib/1.2.3 20/01/2010 18:22:39 Data directory: C:\Program Files (x86)\BOINC\Data 20/01/2010 18:22:39 Running under account Dan 20/01/2010 18:22:39 Processor: 4 GenuineIntel Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU 750 @ 2.67GHz [Intel64 Family 6 Model 30 Stepping 5] 20/01/2010 18:22:39 Processor: 256.00 KB cache 20/01/2010 18:22:39 Processor features: fpu tsc pae nx sse sse2 pni mmx 20/01/2010 18:22:39 OS: Microsoft Windows 7: x64 Edition, (06.01.7600.00) 20/01/2010 18:22:39 Memory: 5.99 GB physical, 20.64 GB virtual 20/01/2010 18:22:39 Disk: 148.95 GB total, 105.19 GB free 20/01/2010 18:22:39 Local time is UTC +0 hours 20/01/2010 18:22:40 NVIDIA GPU 0: GeForce GT 240 (driver version 19562, CUDA version 3000, compute capability 1.2, 512MB, 269 GFLOPS peak) 20/01/2010 18:22:40 No ATI library found. 20/01/2010 18:22:40 SETI@home Found app_info.xml; using anonymous platform 20/01/2010 18:22:40 Not using a proxy 20/01/2010 18:22:40 SETI@home URL http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/; Computer ID 5200604; resource share 100 20/01/2010 18:22:40 SETI@home General prefs: from SETI@home (last modified 29-Dec-2009 19:53:46) 20/01/2010 18:22:40 SETI@home Computer location: home 20/01/2010 18:22:40 SETI@home General prefs: no separate prefs for home; using your defaults 20/01/2010 18:22:40 Reading preferences override file 20/01/2010 18:22:40 Preferences limit memory usage when active to 3067.03MB 20/01/2010 18:22:40 Preferences limit memory usage when idle to 4293.84MB 20/01/2010 18:22:40 Preferences limit disk usage to 20.00GB 20/01/2010 18:22:40 SETI@home [coproc_debug] Assigning CUDA instance 0 to 21se06aa.15991.2158729.10.10.255_0 20/01/2010 18:22:40 SETI@home Restarting task 04ja07ab.4187.15205.15.10.122_0 using setiathome_enhanced version 603 20/01/2010 18:22:40 SETI@home Restarting task 04ja07ab.4187.15614.15.10.100_0 using setiathome_enhanced version 603 20/01/2010 18:22:40 SETI@home Restarting task 21se06aa.15991.2158729.10.10.255_0 using setiathome_enhanced version 608 20/01/2010 18:22:40 SETI@home Restarting task 04ja07ab.4298.16841.16.10.218_1 using setiathome_enhanced version 603 20/01/2010 18:22:40 SETI@home Restarting task 05ja07ab.26941.15614.8.10.34_0 using setiathome_enhanced version 603 Here is my config file: <cc_config> <log_flags> <coproc_debug>1</coproc_debug> </log_flags> <options> <http_1_0>1</http_1_0> <use_all_gpus>1</use_all_gpus> <no_gpus>0</no_gpus> </options> </cc_config> and my app info file <app_info> <app> <name>setiathome_enhanced</name> </app> <file_info> <name>AK_v8b_win_x64_SSE41.exe</name> <executable/> </file_info> <app_version> <app_name>setiathome_enhanced</app_name> <version_num>528</version_num> <file_ref> <file_name>AK_v8b_win_x64_SSE41.exe</file_name> <main_program/> </file_ref> </app_version> <app_version> <app_name>setiathome_enhanced</app_name> <version_num>603</version_num> <file_ref> <file_name>AK_v8b_win_x64_SSE41.exe</file_name> <main_program/> </file_ref> </app_version> <app> <name>astropulse_v5</name> </app> <file_info> <name>ap_5.03r112_SSE3.exe</name> <executable/> </file_info> <app_version> <app_name>astropulse_v5</app_name> <version_num>503</version_num> <file_ref> <file_name>ap_5.03r112_SSE3.exe</file_name> <main_program/> </file_ref> </app_version> <app> <name>astropulse_v505</name> </app> <file_info> <name>ap_5.05r168_SSE3.exe</name> <executable/> </file_info> <app_version> <app_name>astropulse_v505</app_name> <version_num>505</version_num> <file_ref> <file_name>ap_5.05r168_SSE3.exe</file_name> <main_program/> </file_ref> </app_version> <app> <name>setiathome_enhanced</name> </app> <file_info> <name>MB_6.08_CUDA_V12_VLARKill_FPLim2048.exe</name> <executable/> </file_info> <file_info> <name>cudart.dll</name> <executable/> </file_info> <file_info> <name>cufft.dll</name> <executable/> </file_info> <file_info> <name>libfftw3f-3-1-1a_upx.dll</name> <executable/> </file_info> <app_version> <app_name>setiathome_enhanced</app_name> <version_num>608</version_num> <plan_class>cuda</plan_class> <avg_ncpus>0.040000</avg_ncpus> <max_ncpus>0.040000</max_ncpus> <coproc> <type>CUDA</type> <count>1</count> </coproc> <file_ref> <file_name>MB_6.08_CUDA_V12_VLARKill_FPLim2048.exe</file_name> <main_program/> </file_ref> <file_ref> <file_name>cudart.dll</file_name> </file_ref> <file_ref> <file_name>cufft.dll</file_name> </file_ref> <file_ref> <file_name>libfftw3f-3-1-1a_upx.dll</file_name> </file_ref> </app_version> </app_info> If anybody could help me to get the second card working I would be very greatfull. SLI off? using a dummy plug for the second card? In a rich man's house there is no place to spit but his face. Diogenes Of Sinope |

Removed the 7900GS, Installed the latest drivers for Nvidia 196.21 and installed DVI to VGA adaptor in second card and all is well! Panic over, have noticed though that grpahics are a bit jumpy, but ever time i whack the 7900gs it cocks up not only the drivers but boinc wont connect to locahost either! So its staying out! the 7900 wont run Seti so its useless for seti. You're better off plugging your monitor into one of the other cards and dealing with your video from them. The video from them shouldn't be bad since those cards should have ample RAM to run your desktop and CUDA tasks In a rich man's house there is no place to spit but his face. Diogenes Of Sinope |
