Several days ago my Seti @home tasks were "suspended by user". I have no Idea how this happened and I have not been able to release the tasks for them to resume. What can I do? Frank |

In advanced view of BOINC manager, check the Projects tab. What does the Status column say for SETI? If "Suspended by user" click the Resume button (after highlighting SETI). It should then change the caption to Suspend. It always shows what will be done by clicking, not the current status. Gruß, Gundolf Computer sind nicht alles im Leben. Similarly for the tasks tab in the advanced view. In the advanced view, on the Activity menu, where are the check marks? BOINC WIKI |

For several days now my completed tasks have been "statused" "ready to report." There are no current news about the SETI server. Is the problem with my system some how? Dale |

For several days now my completed tasks have been "statused" "ready to report." There are no current news about the SETI server. Is the problem with my system some how? Did you try manual Update? In the advanced view of BOINC manager: in Projects tab select/highlight SETI@home Press the Update button In Messages tab - is there a message somewhere: ..... Suspending network activity - ...? . Â - ALF - "Find out what you don't do well ..... then don't do it!" :) Â |

Hi I'm running BOINC Ver 6.10.18 and the computation says it is suspended. I've not suspended it. In the projects tab when highlghted, it does not come up with resume. There is nothing in the messages to say anything about suspending or network activity. I have tried to highlight and update with no change. BOINC gives me no clue other than in the messages it shows i have one download task and it is suspended. I also have a task waiting but doesn't seem to upload. BOINC is very frustrating and the user should be given a better idea of any issues. Can you help, please? Thank you. Jethro - come on bugthing - speak! |

Hi What about the Tasks tab? I also have a task waiting but doesn't seem to upload. That's pretty improbable, since both your computers only have one task downloaded each. Did you try "Run always" in Activity menu? Gruß, Gundolf Computer sind nicht alles im Leben. (Kleiner Scherz) SETI@home classic workunits 3,758 SETI@home classic CPU time 66,520 hours |

I also have a task waiting but doesn't seem to upload. Unless he's attached to more than one project, with different accounts. ;-) BOINC pauses at: 1. Right-click BOINC icon->Snooze (does this for 1 hour). 2. BOINC Manager->Simple View->Pause. 3. BOINC Manager->Simple View->Preferences->Do work only between the hours of X and Y. 4. BOINC Manager->Advanced View->Activity->Suspended. 5. BOINC Manager->Advanced View->Advanced->Preferences->Unchecking "While computer is in use". 6. BOINC Manager->Advanced View->Advanced->Preferences->Every day between the hours of X and Y not being equal to each other. 7. BOINC Manager->Advanced View->Advanced->Preferences->Day-of-the-week-override set. 8. Project Your Account->Computing preferences->Suspend work while computer is on battery power? (when laptop/notebook) Yes. 9. Project Your Account->Computing preferences->Suspend work while computer is in use? Yes. 10. Project Your Account->Computing preferences->Suspend work if no mouse/keyboard activity in last X minutes is set to something else than 0.0 11. Project Your Account->Computing preferences->Do work only between the hours of X and Y not being equal to each other. 12. BOINC doing benchmarks will suspend it for a minute. BOINC benchmarks itself every 5 days. And: 1. BOINC Manager->Advanced View->Tasks tab->Any task selected and set to Suspend. The Status column shows what was done. Suspend button will have change to Resume button. 2. BOINC Manager->Advanced View->Projects tab->Any project selected and set to Suspend. The Status column shows what was done. Suspend button will have change to Resume button. 3. Any error message showing problems with Waiting for Memory and Out of disk space. |
