Hadnt heard anything by Rush in a long time assumed he was just inhaling. Pat Robertson gets my vote.

I really have post dated prophecies. Pointing a finger at a tragedy and saying it was forseen because of their evil ways. Evil ways being kicking the French out and running their own country. Albeit they done a really poor job running a really poor country it still doesnt justify a post dated Prophecy

I know it's early in the year.
Nominations may change as the year evolves.

I conominate Rush Limbaugh and Pat Robertson
for the obvious signs of "Dementia" they both
exhibit in public, regarding the tragedy in Haiti.

Dementia??? Not even quite....for Rush it's SOP, he's just a bloated, self-important man who likes to hear himself talk.

Pat Robertson...OMG he's just stupid. Quoting from Wikipedia:

Robertson claimed that Haiti's founders had sworn a "pact to the Devil" in order to liberate themselves from the French slave owners and indirectly attributed the earthquake to the consequences of the Haitian people being "cursed" for doing so. CBN later issued a statement saying that Robertson's comments "were based on the widely-discussed 1791 slave rebellion led by Boukman Dutty at Bois Caiman, where the slaves allegedly made a famous pact with the devil in exchange for victory over the French." Various prominent voices of mainline and evangelical Christianity promptly denounced Robertson's remarks.

I believe he said exactly what he meant and his media people were just trying to deflect the criticism...which of course didn't work.

That's fine Guido...I just didn't understand the application of the word "Dementia" in the situation. Your definition of Moral Turpitude applies fine

I would think that since they made a pact with the devil they'd be living the highlife

I'd think so too. The devil seems to deliver on promises where are prayer doesn't seem to have such a good track record. :O

How about Breck Girl, John Edwards?

Married for thirty years and has had four kids. Has an affair with one of his campaign staffers, knocks her up, spends a year denying the child is his, then finally admits he is the father. "I am Quinn’s father. I will do everything in my power to provide her with the love and support she deserves."

Well that's nice John, but I hope someday she asks you why you spent a year denying your responsibility and presumably any support to the child and her mother.

Somehow I think it's more the nosy public crying about it than it will ever be the girl. Most people don't remember their first year of life, so what's the point making a big deal about it 18 years later?

What the guy did was stupid, but it happens all over the world to people who would never see the light of day where their name hits the AP news wire. I find it interesting how we demand public rage and outlash against a public figure yet we just grumble when it's the person down the street. They're both human, capable of making the same mistake, but we seem to hold a double standard and justify it with "but he's in office, he should know better!" as if to imply ignorance is OK when you're a nobody.

Agreed, double standards are stupid. That's why I'd be just as outraged if my neighbor or brother behaved the way John Edwards has.

I don't think the girl making a fuss would be about the first year of her life. It would be about the hypocrisy of saying something like "I'm going to make sure she has all the love and support she deserves," after ignoring her for a year. The two are at odds with each other.

Is it really a hypocrisy or is it an attempt to rectify a mistake? Should the little girl, once she grows up, really be mad at her biological father because he "ignored" her for a year? Something she won't even remember.

People make mistakes. At least the guy changed his mind and wants to do the right thing. Give him credit for that at least. Like I said, it seems the public wants his crucified more than anything else. It has little or nothing to do with the public and I think everyone should mind their own business (my opinion, of course).

I feel the same way about celebrities too.

Did she loose out on a years worth of child support? When she turns college age not have enough money to go to college? It isn't as simple as you think.

Why is that any of yours, or anyone else's concern? Is it not possible for him to make up a year's worth of financial support, or do you really believe a year is totally lost?

It's so wonderful that you're concerned with her college years before she's even ready, but there's nothing to say she'll even want go to college.

It's not yours to make a big deal as you think.
