Don't forget you need at least 254MB of free memory on that card too.

madmac

Skildude said it the card you have is not on the list. Depending on the Boinc Core Client you have, it may show the card. Boinc will not request any work for the card.

Just a reminder for all..........

The 195.xx drivers are NOT the best to use for current Cuda cards........
They were released in advance of the new Fermi based cards not yet on the market, and actually can degrade Cuda crunching performance on Seti by a few percent.

190.62 or 191.07 are the way to go (not much if any difference between the two).

And above all else, once you have the correct drivers....make sure you download and install the 2.3 dl's!!!

You can get them HERE.

Just download them to a temp file, unzip, and copy and paste them to your boinc/projects/setiathome.berkeley.edu folder over the existing dll files. Or you can rename the existing files first if you want to save them.

And as always, shutting down Boinc first and restarting after the change is recommended.

It depend how much RAC you would like to reach, or how much power consumption you would like to pay and which PSU you have and how much you want to pay for the GPU..

Dang it...

I just got asked the question, and I can't remember the answer, or if there is one...

Is it possible to verify the Cuda dll version that you are currently running?

You can compare the size and the date of the files in the folder.

IIRC, CUDA_V2.2 and CUDA_V2.3 are different in this..

I looked in my folder..
cudart.dll - 14. Juli 2009 - 279 KB
cufft.dll - 14. Juli 2009 - 8,23 MB

This should be the values for CUDA_V2.3 .. ;-)

Not the answer I was looking for........I know you can verify the files.

But...if somebody looks at the files, and they are in the wrong folder, that is not proof that they are running them.

Is it possible to verify what dll's are actually being used to process WU's?

Haa.. much easier..

If I go with the mouse over this files.. a small window with Version 2.3 is displayed..

;-)

And, if you are checking that you have the 2.3, then "Properties > Details" on the .dll files identifies 2.3 files as "Version 2.3".

You are missing the point....

The files may be present...but are they actually the ones being used?

No I didn't missed the point..

If this two files are in your folder, you have only one of this each.. you use this files..

There can't be version 2.2 and 2.3 together.
If you inserted 2.3 you overwrote 2.2 .

Fred....you know what I am asking......

Just verifying that the correct files are resident 'somewhere' does not verify that they are in the correct place and being used by Boinc.
