I recently installed Boinc on Windows Vista. I added Primegrid which worked fine, but when i added others including seti@home, no tasks new appeared on the simple view, there was just the primegrid ones. What's gone wrong or is it just me. |

Welcome to Seti. The simple view only shows the WU (Work Units) that are currently crunching or have been partially crunched and are waiting for a turn at the CPU. If you switch to the Advanced view - Tasks tab, you will probably see that you have received a WU from Seti and it is waiting to start. Depending on your version of Boinc you may have a button in the Tasks tab that toggles between 'Show active tasks' and 'Show all tasks'. I'm not sure if this feature is in the current 'recommended' version. Older versions default to show all tasks in the advanced view. Your Seti account does indicate that you downloaded a WU on 10 Jan 2010 12:43:36 UTC. It does takes Boinc a while to adjust to having a new project and WU's to schedule. Just give it a little time and Boinc will do its thing. Boinc V7.2.42 Win7 i5 3.33G 4GB, GTX470 |
