Hi everyone,

I saw this very cool musical tribute remix song of Carl Sagan and his cosmologist companion Stephen Hawking on YouTube and it just made me really think about what we are looking for here at SETI@ and how as a child, Carl Sagan really opened my eyes to the skies. Anyone remember wanting to fly by one of those pulsars as a child in our imaginary space ship?

I really enjoyed the Cosmos show but I was fortunate to have him as my astronomy professor in college well before he did the pbs show. He opened my eyes with his words and passion.

Did you save your papers you turned into him?

I didn't do this for two of my teachers. My Art teacher in highschool (A highly valued local artist.) and my Photography teacher in College (The star pupil and friend of Ansel Adams).
Pluto will always be a planet to me.

No. I threw away my college papers about 20 years ago. I took a year off to sail around the world. Did not have much storage space on my boat.
But I did name a street after him. If you are ever near Vandenberg Air Force Base, visit the Village. You will find Sagan Court off of Moonglow near Celestial Way, past Enterprise and Voyager. I named almost all of the streets in a development I did there. I tried to name one Gallafrey, but the County rejected that one. They called it Goddard instead. You can blame me for the rest of the space themed streets.
