I am currently receiving what certainly appears to be a SIGNAL while the current Data upload from SETI is being analyzed on my P.C., as a SreenSaver Program. I have observed several weeks of Data being displayed, but NOTHNG...and I mean NOTHING like what is taking place right now. There a three (3) BARS suddenly being displayed for a period of approx. every 5 secs., on a regular basis. The apparent Signals last for approx. 3 secs. each time, on a regular basis. Very Exciting as I have never observed anything such as this in the Past. Most probably a Satellite or possibly a Quasar perhaps?? Whatever it is, it is the MOST exciting bit of DATA I have observed to this point. Very exciting! Any thoughts out there Friends?? |

not to burst your bubble, but if you look at the science status page you'll see the overall and daily reuslt returns. It sounds like you possibly got a triplet or 3. you'll also note that so far today there are over 500k triplets returned. The kind folks at S@H will check your results against your wingman. If the results match, they'll add it to current list of candidates. the results then need to be seen repeatedly in the same area of the sky to be considered a potential candidate. The NTPKR checks all results with their grading and makes this determination. So if oyu found a good signal it just might be the one. However we are looking for a needle in a haystack the size of 100 light years In a rich man's house there is no place to spit but his face. Diogenes Of Sinope |

Thank You skildude for your response to my message. I was not aware of the Science Status Page or the "Triplet" concept. This information gives me an enormous opportunity to extend my, as yet, very limited knowledge of Space Exploration. Have a Merry Christmas & Happy New Year! Cameron P.S. Some day.... the ONE will show itself. Perhaps, just perhaps, it JUST DID! :) |
