I do not wish to have the display rotate as it does. Is it possible to have it more stationary? If so I will continue the program.

And otherwise you won't? Even though you don't need to run the screen saver?
But alas, yes, it's possible to change the screen saver so it doesn't oscillate.

Via Your Account go to Seti@Home Preferences and edit them.

For Graphics preferences choose Custom.
Save changes with the Update preferences button at the bottom.

Having done that, edit them again.
Now set everything with oscillation in the title to zero.
Save changes again.

Next open BOINC Manager->Advanced view->Projects tab->Select Seti@Home->Click Update. This will get these new preferences in. Then the next time your screen saver kicks in, the main part of the graphics won't move as much.
