I am continuing to hav this problem. I've updated teh BOINC software to 6.10.18 and the nVidia driver to 195.62. I have also tried making a config file that has this code in it as I found somewhere, but continue to get the dreaded 417 error. Code: - <cc_config> - <options> <http_1_0>1</http_1_0> </options> </cc_config> Finally, before I get a slap upside the head, this is the messages, I get on startup of boinc, including trying to get it to reread the config file, and finally getting new Einstein units d/l :) 12/18/2009 03:23:58 PM Starting BOINC client version 6.10.18 for windows_intelx86 12/18/2009 03:23:58 PM log flags: file_xfer, sched_ops, task 12/18/2009 03:23:58 PM Libraries: libcurl/7.19.4 OpenSSL/0.9.8l zlib/1.2.3 12/18/2009 03:23:58 PM Data directory: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\BOINC 12/18/2009 03:23:58 PM Running under account TheAJKMan 12/18/2009 03:23:58 PM Processor: 2 GenuineIntel Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E7300 @ 2.66GHz [x86 Family 6 Model 23 Stepping 6] 12/18/2009 03:23:58 PM Processor: 3.00 MB cache 12/18/2009 03:23:58 PM Processor features: fpu tsc sse sse2 mmx 12/18/2009 03:23:58 PM OS: Microsoft Windows XP: Home x86 Edition, Service Pack 2, (05.01.2600.00) 12/18/2009 03:23:58 PM Memory: 1023.17 MB physical, 2.40 GB virtual 12/18/2009 03:23:58 PM Disk: 107.20 GB total, 13.89 GB free 12/18/2009 03:23:58 PM Local time is UTC +2 hours 12/18/2009 03:23:58 PM NVIDIA GPU 0: GeForce 9600 GT (driver version 19562, CUDA version 3000, compute capability 1.1, 512MB, 224 GFLOPS peak) 12/18/2009 03:23:58 PM Not using a proxy 12/18/2009 03:23:58 PM Version change (6.6.41 -> 6.10.18) 12/18/2009 03:23:58 PM Einstein@Home URL http://einstein.phys.uwm.edu/; Computer ID 2026951; resource share 100 12/18/2009 03:23:58 PM SETI@home URL http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/; Computer ID 5052567; resource share 100 12/18/2009 03:23:58 PM SETI@home General prefs: from SETI@home (last modified 24-Feb-2007 18:30:52) 12/18/2009 03:23:58 PM SETI@home Computer location: home 12/18/2009 03:23:58 PM General prefs: using separate prefs for home 12/18/2009 03:23:58 PM Reading preferences override file 12/18/2009 03:23:58 PM Preferences limit memory usage when active to 511.58MB 12/18/2009 03:23:58 PM Preferences limit memory usage when idle to 920.85MB 12/18/2009 03:23:58 PM Preferences limit disk usage to 10.00GB 12/18/2009 03:23:58 PM Running CPU benchmarks 12/18/2009 03:23:58 PM Suspending computation - I have also tried making a config file that has this code in it as I found somewhere, but continue to get the dreaded 417 error. Somebody seems to have changed the forum code, since angle-bracketed text isn't shown any longer. Your cc_config.xml file contents seems to be okay, if the dashes are only from using Internet explorer to display it. You should only use notepad to manipulate the file. However, you seem to have misplaced the file, since there's no message about reading it. It belongs in the BOINC data directory, in your case: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\BOINC Gruß, Gundolf [edit]I could see your cc_config.xml text by using the Quote feature when answering.[/edit] Computer sind nicht alles im Leben. are you running 2 accounts? you're message says you are reporting 4 Seti results on 12/18/2009 yet you don't have any active computers in the last 30 days. In a rich man's house there is no place to spit but his face. Diogenes Of Sinope |

Nope, only 1 pc and problem has been resolved. The 4 units were SETI units done by my GPU(CUDA) and 1 of them was I think an Astropulse unit. Problem has been resolved, config file was in wrong directory. *rolls eyes* THanks Anways |

Not a question of how many computers you are running at the moment. However, it has been quite a while since any computer associated with the account you are posting from has actually contacted the S@H servers. Is the account you are posting with the same account you are accumulating credits for? BOINC WIKI |

I think I'm running both off the same account, if I click on Projects -- Your account in BOINC this is the URL it takes me to. http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/home.php It seems to be the same as for this forum one. Why? Is there problem of some sort I should be aware of? |

Somebody seems to have changed the forum code, since angle-bracketed text isn't shown any longer. David fixed that. Minor thing. ;-) |

I think I'm running both off the same account, Both what? You only have one computer (online) and that is attached to the account TheApostate. if I click on Projects -- Your account in BOINC this is the URL it takes me to. http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/home.php Yes, that url always links to the account where you are logged in, in this case Adrian It seems to be the same as for this forum one. Why? Is there problem of some sort I should be aware of? Not a problem per se, but it could cause some confusion, as you can see :-) Try the procedure from the link Ageless gave you. If you want to, you can afterwards change the account name 'TheApostate' to 'Adrian' if that suits you better. Gruß, Gundolf |
