	I have donated once, more than a year ago, and will probably do so again. But I must say a superficially personal letter puts me off, however worthy the cause is. Partly beacause of that my donation will not be immediately forthcoming...

Idea: Person-outside-USA sends/gives monetary gift to USA-taxpaying-SETI-supporter. USA-taxpaying-SETI-supporter then sends tax deductible donation to SETI of the same amount ... ...PLUS tax donation benefit (37% or whatever). Person-outside-USA full donation gets to SETI USA-taxpaying-SETI-supporter gets no monetary benefit. Unfortunately the tax consequences for the US reciepient are not neutral in many cases.
