Nice Pix - wonder why people are willing to pay so much to take a little trip, hurl some cookies. It's their money tho, I reckon, and cheaper than signing on with the Russians to visit ISS.

I wonder what Arnold and Cali have to do with this? Rutan's lab and the X-Prize flights took place there, but isn't Virgin (et. al.) investing in the space-tourism launch center in New Mexico?

Does anyone know if this craft could dock with the International Space Station. It's initial flight apogee is 100 miles short of the ISS at its lowest point in orbit, which I guess is not a big deal in space, right?

No, it can't.

You need a special hatch ring attached to the space shuttle to dock with the ISS.

Maybe SpaceShip 3 might have something like that. Maybe it might be planned for further down the line. Its reported in the media that NASA have been in talks with virgin galactic and are watching there progress very carefully.

It doesn't go in to orbit, which is a big thing. About 17,500 mph thing.
