Separate preferences for home Resource share If you participate in multiple BOINC projects, this is the proportion of your resources used by SETI@home 100 Use Central Processing Unit (CPU) no Use NVIDIA GPU if present (enforced by 6.10+ clients) yes Graphics preferences Select Custom to edit individual parameters SETI@home classic Color preferences: Select Custom to edit individual parameters Rainbow URL of background image This image (JPEG, Targa, BMP or PPM format) will be displayed in the background. none URL of logo image This image (JPEG, Targa, BMP or PPM format) will be displayed in the lower corner. none Run only the selected applications SETI@home Enhanced: yes Astropulse: no Astropulse v5: no If no work for selected applications is available, accept work from other applications? no Use Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) if available yes Use Central Processing Unit (CPU) yes You see also something strange? ;-) There are two settings for CPU and GPU. I wanted to set 'home' no CPU, I set both to NO (unchecked) but after save the bottom CPU is YES. Why is there two times CPU and GPU entries? Also if I tested some settings at 'home' and 'work', immediately after save all separated settings were deleted. Only primary settings available. |

I looked now at SETI@home BETA, there is only the upper CPU/GPU entry. Separate preferences for home Resource share If you participate in multiple BOINC projects, this is the proportion of your resources used by SETI@home/AstroPulse Beta 100 Use CPU (enforced by 6.10+ clients) no Use NVIDIA GPU if present (enforced by 6.10+ clients) yes Graphics preferences Select Custom to edit individual parameters SETI@home classic Color preferences: Select Custom to edit individual parameters Rainbow URL of background image This image (JPEG, Targa, BMP or PPM format) will be displayed in the background. none URL of logo image This image (JPEG, Targa, BMP or PPM format) will be displayed in the lower corner. none Run only the selected applications SETI@home Enhanced: yes Astropulse: no Astropulse v5: no If no work for selected applications is available, accept work from other applications? no So why have SETI@home MAIN a double CPU/GPU entry? |

Mods, what you think? Maybe this thread would be better for the Q&A-website subforum? |

If you look at the title of this thread, you can see that it's not the right place. :-) On the SETI homepage and in the technical news, you can read why SETI currently has no tasks available.
