Hi,

I've been using BOINC non-contiguously over the years, though now with CPU limits I think I'm staying for good.

SETI@Home Classic got big when I was in junior high school. When you're a kid you go through various e-mail address/screen name/etc. changes.

I'm 25 now. I only recently found out that BOINC allows you to claim Classic credits. I typed in various old e-mails, however, I soon discovered that once I found one I couldn't attach any more Classic e-mails to the SETI@Home BOINC account. There weren't too many workunits on that account, though it's kind of tough given Moore's Law. I'd like to search the stats, but the "Individual User Statistics" page of http://seticlassic.ssl.berkeley.edu/ does not work.

Would it be possible to create additional BOINC accounts, each one linking to a Classic account, and combine all the BOINC accounts/computers/workunits/stats/etc. into one?

Thanks,
-Dan Q

Yes, you can create multiple BOINC accounts (with the exception of to get around a banishment).

No, you cannot merge them.

Okay, it's not important enough to create multiple BOINC accounts and track down all high-school e-mails, most of which I don't remember.

After all, the size of our past contributions doesn't matter, it's how we've used them for SETI :)

Thanks anyway though,

You should be able to attach your old SETI Classic account to your existing SETI BOINC account by following the instructions at the bottom of this page (clicky). I don't think you can attach more than one old account, though.

EDIT: I see you've already done that.
