Windows 7 won't upgrade my Vista, but says I must do a clean install of W7 and reinstall all my programs afterwords. What do I do about pending WUs when I install W7? I reset BOINC so it only has 1 day of tasks waiting. Is there a setting that will allow it to run out of tasks before I do the clean install of W7? Thanks, Bob |

Thanks. That's the one tab I didn't check. I only checked options that were in the tools drop down menu. Thanks for the help. |

Thanks. That's the one tab I didn't check. I only checked options that were in the tools drop down menu. You can also: Stop BOINC copy the BOINC data directory tree to some external media so that it will not be deleted. If it does not contain client_state.xml, then it is not the data directory. The data directory location can be found in the first few messages after a restart of the BOINC daemon (not just the Manager). Install your new OS. Copy the BOINC data directory on to the new (or newly formatted) HD. Install BOINC, and make certain to point the data directory to where you put the data directory on the newly installed OS.
