user average statistics

	Running boinc 6.6.36 on my computer at work, but really baffled by the algorithm for user average. It could be flat out from thursday through tuesday but then drop by more than 40% on wednesday and bounced back 70% of the drop on the next day. How do you calculate the average? ____________
