Why is it that some Mac systems run BOINC as Darwin, others as OSX?

On BoincStats, it lists OSX and Darwin separately, that's what prompted my question... apologies for not clarifying that.

My iMac is listed here as running Darwin 10.0.0, but BOINCStats lists it as OSX.

They probably just change it to make more sense.

Of course Darwin can run without OSX as well.
