@Mike, Moin

@LiliK, we need sharks as much as we need polar bears. I am glad that soup is sooo expensive.

Ahh...Master Uli came back already...so my chicken soup efficacious =)

Ooomooo...I'm under attack =/

Sorry for my mistake on the experience of eating a bowl of shark fin soup.

Besides, I do not have the desire to eat anymore. No one can touch my polar bear!

Lili, I had Shark once too. But watching Shark Week on the Discovery Channel opened my eyes.

Brain numb and ignorant thuggery are very annoying and voicing ones opinions about them should be a public entitlement. Some people with knowledge of ignorance continue practices that endanger not just species endemic to our planet, but, some actually purposefully endanger our race. It is really sad watching ignorance run amock. I'm just glad that this planet has large sections of respectful people and respectful people that correct themselves when appropriate.

God bless the animal activists.

I DO feel guilty

You're forgiven

Thanks SJ =)
Thanks 'reaction internationally' *relieved*

Type without typo's?

I'm sure I've had shark steak in my life, but never shark fin. Why would anyone only use such a small part of the animal? They aren't lizard tails that grow back.

Had to re-read the Moonkitty's post.
For a minute there, I thought she said she was going to start drinking something other than coffee.

No coffee, no shark fin soup. Seems my dinner started something last night. Sorry SJ but I like shark, swordfish, mahi mahi {dolphin fish to you east coasters. dorado in South America), and scallops. They are my favorite seafood.

That's ok, As long as the animal is not wastefully dumped overboard and is not endangered, It's not a problem, Oh and Dolphins? Their not fish, As Dolphins are warm blooded mammals, like You and I are. Me I like shrimp, tuna and salmon somewhat.

Oh and SJ, there are two different things. Dolphin is a mammal as you say. But Dolphin fish is what they call Mahi Mahi in Florida. I had the same reaction when I saw Dolphin on the menu. It's not Dolphin the mammal, it's a fish they call Dolphin fish because it seems to like to swim with Dolphin.

I've always heard Mahi Mahi referred to as Mahi Mahi out here, But then I've never been to Florida. :D

for the moment, Today I'm going to Hesperia to look at the house I've mentioned(pics too) in the house for sale thread of mine with the agent and I hopefully will get to meet the lender and get pre-qualed soon as the place is HUD owned and Sunday is the deadline for all Bids. HUD wants to see a $1000 cashiers check and a $2000 cashiers check for any repairs, I can do the $100 deposit, But the rest is impossible for Me to do right now, Maybe the lender can help here. Or I keep looking.
