This has turned into a flame fest.

No further flames please.

But they aren't burning in your direction :)

JM7,

I don't see flames, I see people calling someone on their incorrect assertions of fact.

Not all disagreements are flames.

Let me say that again:

Not all disagreements are flames.

Thats an honor.

Then I guess you continue to feel dishonored?

I gather you like to play politics and favorites.

You are my favorite political ploy. Don't tell anyone.

knowing the history of most of this "storm" and people who have posted here, i am kind of suspicous, however if the consensus is to drop the arguement, that's all i ever asked.

Hard to celebrate the masters of the universe team. Make your own salary cap and create your own network deals outside of MLB on any other team and get fined by the league. For the Yankees its just Wednesday night.

I can't imagine a Baseball stadium costing $1 billion. Its bad enough Jerry Jones dropped his $1Billion turd in my back yard with his version of a football stadium.
for the Yankees to celebrate is sad. It's like the US getting into a war with Iraq. It's not fair and it doesnt look good for the other guy. Of course the Yankees have never been about fair play. They have been about using players until they begin to fade. Fan favorite or not they dump players that aren't in top form.

Lou gehrig held the team record for hits at a little over 2800. thats pretty sad that a team with 27 World series wins hasn't had 1 player with 3000 hits. Jeter will most likely get there but its only taken the team over 100 years to do that.

That being said its unlikely anyone will acheive that milestone much anymore since the average player age has dropped rapidly recently. which means teams are dumping veterans so they can bring up inexperienced rookies that make rookie mistakes long into their career because they don't have veterans guiding them.

BTW I love how much this thread has discussed the mods. Good work fellas

no offense, but you are being a fallacy straw man. look it up on wikipedia to see what i mean. i hope yous dont think im resorting to name calling here. however the position you and some others are taking is that of the straw man and i cannot see a better way of explaining this. i see half a dozen people stirring the collective seti pot, when i come in and offer a counter arguement, i get accused of stirring it up? and just what pray tell has everyone including you, blurf, been doing in this whole thread. complementing the mods and admin on the fine job they are doing, and discussing positive aspects of seti for the benefit of all? think not.

i think that fits you rather well.
