I got stopped after 9 of 12 hosts...tried Leopoldo's site, and it timed out after 2 hosts with a message that the database server was probably down... I will try it later, but before the outrage... Clk2HlpSetiCty:::PayIt4ward |

Hi, fellow crunchers! Just as another variant I increased delay to 0.1 sec and request timeout to 3x value at my mirror. John Galt 007 and Geek@Play: I entered your account numbers into the new version of the AndyK tool at my mirror - and no lockups I saw. Please check yourself again if you wish. I hope, together we can find the working combination... ___________ WBW, Leonid |

Leopoldo's runs to completion...arkayn's stalls on the last host... But I am loading 12 hosts, so maybe it is just the sheer # of DB hits that is causing it to time out... Clk2HlpSetiCty:::PayIt4ward |

When the querry is by User ID the waiting period is 0.50 and fails. Right now I tried arkayn's mirror with Geek@Play account ID and it works. Hmm, I will ask arkayn to increase timeout even more... |

Hello! Querry by HostID failed........... Geek@Play, thank You! Finally I saw the lockup of the script too. But the problem is much more larger than I think before. Looking deeper into the AndyK script functions, I hadn't found reading stream timeout reaction, only timeout increasing of the whole parsing script... I don't understand why AndyK didn't programm the reaction to reading timeout. So, before any next recommendations, I will experiment at my mirror firstly. |

Thanks Leopoldo. Only too happy to help. This tool does a great job at gathering the information to properly monitor a large group of boxes. It worked in the past and I have confidence it will work again soon. I will not make more attempts unless you wish it. Please PM me if you have questions or there is something I can do to help out in testing. Don Boinc....Boinc....Boinc....Boinc.... |

This morning at 13:47:26 UTC I ran a querry using HostID which completed successfully. Then again at 16:05:38 UTC I ran another querry using UserID which also completed successfully. So I really don't know if it's fixed or not since I have had so many fail in the past few days. Boinc....Boinc....Boinc....Boinc.... |

Looks like it is fetching now, at least it shows numbers. @ Arkayn and Leopoldo............. As you can see in an earlier posting here the first time I ran this tool from Arakayn's site, it was extremely fast and successful. I would suggest then that the setup was correct on Arakayn's site as it was originally installed. All the sudden data base activity in Berkeley likely drew the attention of the project managers who have probably made some restrictions to limit activity on the data base. Perhaps some negotiations with them to relaxe the restrictions is in order here. I personally used this tool once per day, shortly after midnight UTC which is certainly sufficient for anyone. edit - I have not been able to complete a querry in 5 or 6 days now.
