If it is untested, why BOINC GUI displays message that it is available after project update ?

ok.....but BOINC says: A new version (4.13) of the BOINC core client is available from this project's web site.

I guess I'll wait for it to show up on this project's website =)

I'd really like to see some release notes for each version, even if they were just generated out of bug tracking. Please?

could install and run 4.12 (m$ Xp and w2k)

both version stopped after a while, no abend, just stopped and going out of memory.

Installed 4.13, now running and no more stopping after a while.
Will see if they survive the night

Is 4.13/4.12 quicker (for crunching) as 4.08 ?

click on boinc_public (unless you want to look at the others) and then 'checkin notes'

> Is 4.13/4.12 quicker (for crunching) as 4.08 ?

We are talking about the core client here, not the seti@home science application. It has no effect on crunching speed (except of course if it freezes up or locks the CPU into an infinite loop...)

Hi Everyone,

There is finally a new version 4.13 that works on all my computers.
Have only just finished installing it on 15 computers so I guess only time will
tell if they all work out.

Many thanks to whomever it was that started this thread and pointed me to where I could download version 4.13, it works great so far.

From a happy cruncher!

I had problems yesterday with version 4.12! After the installation it went on to CPU benchmarking and then BOINC stopped responding. I installed 4.09 again and the crunching could continue.

Today we have a new version, 4.13! It works beautifully on my computers.

Happy crunching
