I realized this would have a limited download audience:
Due to various circumstances, I have a more-reliable internet connection through a Nintendo DSi [Version 1.4U- the "Facebook" update]. It uses a wireless 802.12-something connection, has onboard Flash memory up to 2 GB as a harddrive-equivalent for applications, has its own application for program downloads (updates require a couple of steps, just like optimized apps), and has a Kodak 2 GB SD card as secondary storage- almost like a floppy drive.
Would anyone else like a port of BOINC/S@H onto the DSi?

You'll need an OS first, as I think the software on it now is proprietary.

See http://www.dslinux.org/ to start off with. They have a Wiki and forums.

Oh goody, another reason to learn Linux. :p
I'll look into it when I have access to a larger screen later this week...
