I'm working on updating the server status page. Check out the current version (more data and informative text). Also note the tech news / server status links on the front page.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

Good work Matt!

Can you add more information about the server config? (storage quantity, database dimension, ecc).

EDIT: if it's possible, a little description why a service is not running :)

Hi Matt,

this is fantastic! Not only that we receive credits, we can also see the results! The new links and explainations on the main page are of the kind we were praying for weeks.

Thank You!

Great work Matt !!

Just an idea, is it possible to give an idea on the server status page
how long it will take to eliminate to queue of results validating.

Maybe you can show if everything is working at that speed as "actually" how long it will take?

Coupla things:

1. I want to put more server info in, and probably will eventually, but am waiting to discuss this with others around here just to make sure we aren't "leaking" too much information about our private network. You know, security and all.

2. Can't really make a "rate" of queue drain as the rate changes so much depending on various factors. But.. right now, barring any incident (yeah right) the queue will drain in about a week. This is a super rough estimate based on anecdotal evidence, but that's all I got right now.

3. I'll add some "why this isn't running" info somewhere at some point once I figure out (a) how to do it so that others around here could easily add/edit this info, and (b) where to put it on the site.

Thanks on item (2),

i´m sure its hard to calculate the time it will take to eliminate the queue.
No doubt, its necessary to keep "privacy" on some details as of security reasons for the whole network.
Good to see that boinc/s@h team is trying its best to make the most public correspondence possible.

Ok, true :)

I think (if it's possible) that is an useful information to see the % load of the various server.

Something like "page generated every xx minutes", and maybe most probable reasons if stopped updating.

Great work. :)

A "Beautiful" and functional front page. This is exactly what the crunchers wanted to see. I also appreciate having the "results" page turned on so that we can at long last see what we are getting for credits. Everyone who is still here has been crunching on blind faith for many months.

My sentiments exactly on all counts, especially regarding the results page, although what it revealed for me was a bitter sweet collection of hosed, failed, or pending results for one machine which I've had concerns about; we are now almost as fully informed as we could be!

The Validator also seems to be seriously crunching it's way through that backlog, my credit is going up almost every 15 minutes, marvellous!!!!.

Well done everyone and thanks for dispelling the rumours that nobody cared.
