IX This as I have 2 systems 1 with Nvidia and 1 with ATI, My observation is that the Nvidia board runs a normal temperature and the ATI board could be used to make myself a nice warm room and in extreme cases even dinner as hot as it runs. The ATI gets up to max tmeperature of 65 degrees celsius with ease and the Nvidia isn't really that hot. also excessive heat production means a lot of unnessecary power consumption. I checked the board and the fans repeatedly and it seems the only way I could cool it better would be either water or freon. And the worst thing it's NOT OC-ed... It rocks my system, but then I guess the whole system is outdated. At 427GFlops it's quite a bit better than most Nvidia cards. ;-) ID: 933991 ·

More than likely the ATi chips will run at high temps. Ideally, you wouldn't want to run more than one app per GPU assuming the application is well threaded to utilize all registers/functionality.
