This may be a stupid question for any number of reasons. I have a GTS 250, which I use because it's the best card that can be (practically) passively cooled. I'm looking at the PCI-E x1 slots on my board and wondering: what would happen if I stuck an NVS 295 in there -- as in, not connected to any display, just there as a co-processor? Does anyone know if this would work? Would BOINC just see this as another CUDA device available for crunching? Would it screw up anything in Windows? |

A separate question, obviously, would be whether this card could do enough to make it worth the trouble... |
