I'm new here but the signal on astropulse is usually really low but then it decided to jump suddenly for a couple of minutes
any ideas?
P.S. I may have no idea what I'm doing-_-

Scott,
The graphical screensaver display is designed to look good but you should not read into it too much. It was never designed as a science tool to help you find signals.

But it does show interesting stuff, its enjoyable to watch the screensaver. The data displayed by the screensaver is indeed real telescope data

Its only when thousands of people all send back results that the scientists can actually make some sense out of the results. The BOINC software does this automatically.
