Can Arecibo detect magnetars and objects around super massive black holes and if so how and what does it look like to Arecibo???? |

I dont think so, because we are looking for signals and not for objects. |

The answer to your question is,yes,Arecibo being a Radio Telescope can detect these type of stars it all depends on whether they are looking for them,or not, but if I were to be looking for them I would probibly be using Parkes in Australia it sees more of this Galaxy or perhapes Merlin in The UK(several Radio Telescopes connected by fast fiber optics). Old enough to know better(but)still young enough not to care |
