I've got about 5 big quad ore servers sat around work and home that crunch for SETI@home, and I used to get quite a lot of Astropulse work units, then it seems that Astropulse has almost dropped off radar (so to speak) and All I'm getting is SETI@home Enhanced.

These are my settings...
SETI@home Enhanced: yes
Astropulse: yes
Astropulse v5: yes
If no work for selected ...yes

Is there something wrong, or have we just run out of Astropulse work?

For a whle, AP work went out in preference to Enhanced work. There was lots of AP work getting done and almost no Enhanced work. For a while after that, there was no AP work for a while. AP work is also much harder on the network bandwidth, so when there was lots of that going out, the network problems were much worse. At the moment, the balance has been shifted to more Enhanced work and less AP work by default.

Ah I see now, thanks..

just as an add to this, if I select
"If no work for selected applications is available, accept work from other applications?"

Then I get a bunch of Astropulse v505 work units come in.

So where is Astropulse? My settings are correct (yes to everything) and still I've not received any Astropulse for at least 2 months now. Is anyone else getting Astropulse?

These are my settings...
SETI@home Enhanced: yes
Astropulse: yes
Astropulse v5: yes
If no work for selected ...yes

If anyone can tell me anything email me at arkynut@arkynut.com please.
thanks,
Arkynut.

unfortunately we run through the AP WU's very quickly and I recall the amount of AP's sent out was reduced per person so that you wind up doing a lot more Multibeam WU's between AP's

Not reduced per person, but the flow was throttled back to match the fraction that is split. This helps keep the network available.

First, you don't need to post the same question multiple places.

The number of AP tasks is < 0.5% of the number of MB tasks.

There is very little information at the moment as the tapes have not been received from Aricebo yet, and radar blanking is slower than expected.
