All very true Mark.
I regularly donate to my local SPCA shelter, where I have adopted 2 of my 3 cats. I've found the best option for donating two times as much without donating any more money than necessary is to buy the kibble food from the shelter, and then hand them the kibble as well. So they get the money and the food. Works quite nicely.

This was the one.......
John Galt 007, Lori, and me......

With a few hundred pounds of kitty food and other sundries for the FVHA....that was our donation for the day.

I solicited help from Fleet Farm, John brought the pickup truck and some matching funds, and we were on our way.....

The dock loaders at Fleet Farm asked, and I quote..."How many cats do you HAVE anyway???"

When it comes to kitties, money can buy you luv...

I am up to another go at it.....better to not buy another Cuda card than to let the kitties go without.
007, what you say?
Shall we do it again for the kitties?

Meow?

Meow meow?

Although there are tens of millions of feral cats living in the U.S., most people don't realize there is a sensible way to manage and reduce their numbers: Trap, Neuter, and Return or TNR. Tragically, this lack of information leads to millions of cats being killed in shelters every year because they are not tame and therefore unadoptable.

LOL Mark! TNR is how Eric and I caught a skunk in our humane live trap a couple of years ago. Eric managed to release the skunk without getting bit or sprayed, but it was touch-and-go there for a bit. We caught that skunk around 2pm on a Sunday afternoon. That little skunk was NOT supposed to be around looking for a free handout at that time of the day! Clearly he had not read the Little Skunk Behavioral Guidelines printed in his Little Skunk Handbook. After catching that special striped kitty we shut the trap and returned it to "Fix Our Ferals" the next day. We are out of the TNR business for good.

Anybody else manage to catch something besides a cat when attempting TNR?

In the middle of my far reaching search for the heart of 'disco'...LOL.

I ran across this cut........

It cuts to the heart of the kitty philosophy.......
We Are One....

Me...you...kitties...us...them...boarder jumpers...bullits...politicians ...WE...God's children...what have we become?
Give it a look.

And THEN you might start to understand the concept of 'pay it forward'.....

Like I did for hundreds of kitties that owed me nothing....
And still do not.

"I did not ask for your help......" They are not able to.......but they still need.......as do our own kindred souls.

And yes, I did donate to Haiti...........did you?

Pay it forward..........

Some day you may need such help.

The message of the story is that.....
Although I do not have the will of God to heal all your broken bones and mend your life........
I will do a little bit, and that is more than some are willing to do.

Pay it forward, Seti brothers and sisters.......

I jump offa the soap box now.......it is left to you to do the right thing.

Meeeeeow.
.........Meow
..............Meow
...................meow
.........................meowch.

Dang it, that's a long way down.

I have not had the body of Christ in my mouth for far too many years now........
Always felt the I was not good enough to receive him.

The last church I was in to was when Lori's grandchild had his first communion with God. It was joyous.

Me.......I just wait these days. I cry so easy and so often.

He must be coming for me soon. And I hope his sword is swift and clean.

I wish to be with HIM.

I seek the true meaning of life........and so, seek ET.....
But even if we find them, it will mean that God created life elsewhere, and does not diminish ours.

Are you still with me? Will you pray with me?

The whirlwind is in the thorn tree........
I am soooooo cold now.......that is not a good thing.
Sooo cold.

May not be here too long......but that is God's will.

Won't you isten to the words, long written down.....
Be with my Lord......when the Man comes around.

And I wish you to all be with me too.....when the Man comes around.

And the 'Piano Man' could play just for fun sometimes too...

Root Beer Rag....He was having a gay ol' time....

I should like to express my sincere gratitude to the gentleman who made a donation to my beloved Fox Valley Humane Association in my name.

He may not wish it to be public, so I won't mention his name, but I did want to give a public thanks for his kind gift.

Thank You so much!!!

And the kitties thank you too....all four of mine, and the hundreds of shadow kitties at the shelter as well.

Meow meow meow meow.

Please help me! There are five sisters and bothers at my Vet right now, free to adopt. Reading up on albinos, two of them could face blindness. One of them has a medical issue. The one that tried adopt me and tried to crawl out of the cage, has a bit of a toenail issue.
My kids hate the idea. At least one will have a new home. What do think my chances are in negotiating a deal with the Vets?
Pluto will always be a planet to me.

A little bit of good news for my kitty loving friends.
You all know that Lori and I still miss our beloved Oscar.
And her dear Callie gurl is requiring sub-q fluids to keep her going and is getting rather frail. So the writing is on the wall there.

But Lori just got 2 new absolutely adorable purebred Maine Coon kittens....smoke and black and lovable all over. 2 brothers, about 4-1/2 months old. And growing like you would not believe. They came home only a week ago, and both Callie and Starbucks seem to have accepted them very well.

A couple of little rays of kitty sunshine for both of us.

Meow meow.
