My computer is fast but my internet connection is sloooow. 56k dialup that rarely hooks up above 50k. It is for this reason that I would like to see a setting to not switch WU on the download. If it switches because that particular WU has stopped, for what ever reason, is fine but it switches on me while actively downloading. So what's happening is right now I've got 16 partial WU's out of 34 waiting to download but nothing to crunch on. I'd rather have 10 I can work on then a bunch of partials I can't do anything with and who's time is ticking down. I connect at irregular times and days so you know.... Broadband is NOT an option yet so don't even go there. I realize the obvious answer would be to adjust the buffer but it's already at 1 day. I just want my cake and eat it too. Perhaps a tweak to my internet connection settings? I would get to them if I knew what to set them at. |
