FreeNAS is a very slimmed down version of FreeBSD for a specific purpose. I tried what you are now trying a year or so ago, but never succeeded to get it working. What I ended up doing was somewhat the opposite: Install FreeBSD and copy some files from FreeNAS to it, so I got FreeNAS functions but still could do all "normal" FreeBSD things, including BOINC and SETI@home, Einstein@home, etc...
However, I no longer have that running. When I get more free time, I'll give FreeBSD another shot. I like it a lot, but the learning curve is very, very steep. Playing with FreeBSD, made my switch to Linux from Windows very easy ;)
Edit: Remembered something I had to do with some of those: If you can find any 'libpthread.so' or 'libpthread.so.x' (where x is a number), you should be able to make a symbolic link from libpthread.so.1 to that one and it may work. |
