How'd you manage to get one... I have yet to see any AP units. |

All of my Astropulse V505 tasks (5.06) crash with a SIGSEGV (11) signal after a suspend-resume. I realize there's a workaround (leave tasks in memory), but that does not work over a reboot/shutdown. Putting your system into suspend state requires that your processors are idle. If your processors were working on something, such as any science project from BOINC, it interrupts the processing to put itself into low power state. BOINC is inherently not compatible with this by its very definition, therefore there is no "bug" to be fixed. If you would like to put your computer into suspend mode, you need to suspend all processing from within BOINC Manager first before doing so. |

Oh, OK. Are you using stock apps or optimized apps? |

I have been having the same exact problem with the stock app as well. |

Isnt this a problem with Ubuntu Jaunty's 64bit libs? I remember abandoning it in favour of Fedora because of a string of segfaults in Seti and Einstein. I googled around and found a number of other complaints, and someone raised a bug ticket in the Ubuntu forums. |

The same problem exits in Fedora 11 with boincmgr 6.6.37 and astropulse. I have had it sigsegv on two different aps after working for over 150 hours on the last one and not quite that long on the first one. I have disabled astropulse until I find an answer. wlh2008 |

I have 100% failures running this DC project on Linux 2.4.21-60. ELsmp. I have ~100% success running other DC projects. http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/results.php?hostid=5107491 |

I'd do as the FAQ suggest and see if that fixes the problem. I'd also upgrade your boinc client to 6.4.5. 6.6.36 can cause trouble for some folks In a rich man's house there is no place to spit but his face. Diogenes Of Sinope |
