Quest'anno sono stati solo di passaggio, ma qui a Foligno ci sono stati tre arrivi e tre partenze, di cui l'ultima nel 2017 è stata la ''Crono del Sagrantino''.

for moomin: This year they were just passing through, but here in Foligno there were three arrivals and three departures, of which the last in 2017 was the '' Crono del Sagrantino ''.

Giro Osimo -Imola
1 Sam Bennett Eire
Simon Yates always Maglia Rosa
The finish was in Imola GP ring where Ayrton Senna has died. I was there in 1984 to see my only physical Grand Prix. My boss's father had a farm in Imola and we drank Merlot, eat prosciutto and salame. I had my kids with me.

Giro Ferrara-Nervesa della Battaglia
1 Elia Viviani
Simon Yates always Maglia Rosa
Tomorrow Zoncolan, Sunday Sappada, recently entered in Friuli-Venezia Giulia. People there speak an old German language, like the Walser people around Monte Rosa. They crossed the Alps in the Middle Ages during a warmer period with their herds.

Yes. Froome is then alone without his team Team Sky.
"The team has supported me so well in these last two weeks, so to get the victory today really means a lot" as Froome said.

Today is Tolmezzo-Sappada. When I went skiing, the bus used to stop in Tolmezzo and we used to eat a prosciutto sandwich with just baked bread, still hot, and drank a glass of Pinot Grigio. But I don't know the road they will take, the state highway does not make a great distance.

In Giro d'Italia they don't take the short way.
First they go about 100 km west to Cortina d'Ampezzo then back 80 km east to Sappado.

Yes, Tolmezzo, Passo della Mauria, Cortina d'Ampezzo, Passo Santt'Antonio, Sappado. I know Passo Mauria, not particularly steep.

The other 3 mountains to climb today are steeper:)
The hard work starts at Cortina d'Ampezzo,
Not like Monte Zoncolan but anyway...
48km - Passo della Mauria (8.8km at 4%)
110.6km - Passo Tre Croci (7.9km at an average of 7%, and a maximum of 12%)
146km - Passo di Sant'Antonio (8.3km at an average of 7.5% and a maximum of 15%)
160km - Costalissoio (3.8km at an average of 8.8% and a maximum of 14%)
About at the same time they are in Cortina d'Ampezzo the final in icehockey World Cup starts.
Sweden vs Switzerland.
Busy day again:)

I don't know the last two. Passo Tre Croci is not difficult. Then you have a long downhill to Auronzo.

It has started raining so downhills can be a bit trecherous.
So far no crashes though.

Oops. Looks like Fabio Aru has given up.
He is just coasting along.

Simon Yates wins at Sappada and gains more time both on Dumoulin and Froome. Fabio Aru exits.

Froome is now almost 5 minutes behind Yates.
Maybe Dumoulin, Pozzovivo and Pinot can threat Yates.
But I don't think so.
On the other hand there are still some mountain stages before Roma:)

Maybe Yates victory is not so certain after all.
Dumoulin and Pozzovivo only 2 and 3 minutes behind.
And now Froome 4 minutes behind.
Strange that Aru continues the race being 24 minutes behind.
Well there is one 4 hours behind who still race:)

Dumoulin is second at 56" but he will not attack on the mountains. Pozzovivo is satisfied with the podium. The real danger for Yates is Froome, who will attack.
