There is the Giro delle Dolomiti in June with three options, the Sella Round, about 60 km, a longer one of 80 km and the full race of about 120 km, About 6000 people take part, with many mountain passes.

I must say that the Giro delle Dolomiti scenery is much nicer than Vätternrundan's.
Vätternrundan is almost completely flat.

Apparently there are six stages and everyone but one have a big mountain to pass.
At my age I perhaps could do stage Obereggen, 2296 m | 78 km Novale - Passo Pampeago

Volta a Catalunya: Valverde wins stage 4 in La Molina and also first in the general classification.
http://www.cyclingnews.com/races/volta-ciclista-a-catalunya-2018/stage-4/results/
Old timer Alejandro Valverde 37 years old is still on the saddle.
It's easy to remember him because we share the same surname if translated from Spanish to Swedish:)

It was a heavy start for this year's Formula 1 for Marcus Ericsson.
After six laps the Swedish driver was forced to break the race for new problems with the car.
"I've lost power steering," he said in a team radio as he rolled into the depot.

Nibali was in Innsbruck earlier this week to ride reconnaissance over the 2018 UCI World Championships road race circuit.
After his reconnaissance Nibali stated that the course was harder than he expected. "The final climb looked like a mountain bike endurance race, so hard," he said.

Valverde takes overall in Volta a Catalunya:)
It was Valverde’s third stage race win of the season, after the Volta a Valencia and Tour of Abu Dhabi.
Next stop: the Ardennes.

The Swedish Championships in Slalom are going on in Tärnaby - but there are not many skiers who go down to the finish line.
"There will not be many left for the second run," says SVT expert Tobias Hellman.
59 riders started in the women's competition. 39 of them drove out. Among them were Estelle Alphand and guest-playing Ski Cross star Sandra Näslund. At most, there were ten riders in a row who failed.
On the men's side, 23 riders reached goal - 53 drove out.
The cause is the ice cold weather that holds Tärnaby in its grip.
By six o'clock this morning it was -32 degrees and it's still around -20. The course prepared yesterday does not last.

I've started an online course by Berkeley on data processing which should teach me to program in Python. But they want an image of me taken with a web camera and an image of a document with a photo on it in order to verify my identity. I tried to comply with this request, but they say that the photo of my driving license is blurry, so they will not give me a certificate after I finish the course, although I have paid 99 USD with my credit card. The Americans are getting more bureaucratic than Italy, and this is simply stupid. They got my money, what do they want more?

Perhaps they even want you to come Berkley to get your Python programming certificate.
In person and showing your passport with a not so blurry picture:)
# script.py
# This program prints Hello, Berkley!
print('Hello, Berkley!')

The FutureLearn organization, which belongs to the UK Open University, never asked for a picture of mine. I wanted to take a MIT/Sloan course on Artificial Intelligence but they asked for 2600 USD, which I cannot afford to spend. So I went to Berkeley, which is associated with edX, sponsored by Microsoft, and I sent them my 80.4 Euros, corresponding to 99 USD. But they asked for a web cam image not only of me bu also of my IIdentity card or Driving license, and they say it is blurry. I only have e webcam on a HP laptop with Linux, so I wrote them to send me back my money, I renounce to the Diploma.

"Foundations of data science:computational; thinking with Python" is the first of three online course whose name I found on the Berkeley Online Newsletter. I thought I would try to run the first one (which I am doing with all its tests) and, if I like it, I could take also the remaining two. The price is affordable. I did not know about the webcam, I have it only on a laptop running SuSE Linux. Maybe that is the problem. But I can see its Youtube videos on my main Linux box.

It will be covered on RAI 3 channel. Sky is not covering bicycle races, nor ski events, only football (soccer), auto GP and moto GP. I was pushed by Telecom Italia to buy a Sky subscription, but it is totally useless to me and I shall abort it. It comes on Internet via a decoder which connects the modem to my TV set. My Telecom line runs at 30 MBit/s. I could raise it to 100 MBit by paying 10 euro/month more, but 30 is enough for me. I don't watch films on my TV set, a Samsung which serves also as a monitor for my Windows 10 PC.
