Yesterday I wrote that the third arrived, Jasper Stuyvens, was from Belgium. I had to guess since Italian RAI TV gives little time to lists of runners and gives much time to a woman, Alessandra di Stefano, who comments bicycle races doing a lot of talking. Last night, in my sleep, I had a hint. He is from Denmark. If this is true, this is a case of extra sensorial perception.. Tullio |

Rohan Dennis, Australia, wins the last stage of Tirreno-Adriatico, a time race at San Benedetto del Tronto and is second after Nairo Quintana in the final standing. Thibaud Pinot, who was second , is third. Peter Sagan skips a woman walking her dog into a time race and saves himself from a possible fall. Next Saturday, he will be the one to follow in the Milano-Sanremo. Quintana has gone home waiting for the Giro 100th edition which will start in Sardinia, home of Fabio Aru. Tullio |

I wonder why Peter Sagan chose to pass the woman and the dog in front of them. It was plenty of room behind them. http://video.eurosport.com/cycling/tirreno-adriatico/2017/dog-walker-forces-peter-sagan-to-swerve-off-the-road_vid964301/video.shtml |

Peter Sagan is always unpredictable. But he knows how to steer a bicycle. I am waiting for the Milano-Sanremo to see him sprinting. I wonder of they will cross the Manie highland, where the road goes down to Finale Ligure with many turns that make cyclists fall. I know that highland and its many cliffs used by rockclimbers. There is also the Grotta delle Fate which contained bones of a Neolithic man. The trail to that Grotta is not signaled, they don't want tourists to soil it with cans or remains of food. I was shown the trail near the first of 5 Roman bridges (Ponte delle Fate) in the Valle dei Ponci leading to the Church of San Giacomo. Tullio |

Ilka wins the downhill Cup As per tradition, the downhill winner at Val d'Isere is awarded a cow. Ilka was awarded one last december. Today she got a better prize hopefully:) btw. Her mother is still both her coach and tech! |
